RGH Clinic Extended Hours
When regular life doesn't fit into regular hours…
Offering a comfortable, convenient alternative with the longer hours you
sometimes need, our extended hours is staffed by our providers. The RGH
Clinic extended hours makes it convenient to access quality healthcare
by extending hours from 11a - 9p Monday -Friday and 10a - 6p on both Saturday
and Sunday. Extended hours patients are seen on a "first come, first
served" basis. Extended hours clinic provides an alternative to the
Emergency Room when you have a pressing medical need that doesn't
require a visit to the emergency room or when you cannot be seen by your
primary care provider (MD, NP, PA) during office hours.
We treat all ages and offer care for acute common illnesses and minor injuries
just like your primary care provider. Wait times are usually very short
and you can be assured of receiving RGH's high quality of care. While
every attempt is made to see you as quickly as possible, wait times are
based on the number of people seeking care as well as the seriousness
of their condition. Conditions we commonly treat include:
- Colds and flu
- Seasonal allergies
- Cuts, sprains, burns and other minor injuries
- Strep throat and other sore throats
- Upset stomach and diarrhea
- Earaches and infections
- Sinus infections
- Pink eye and styes
- Rashes and skin infections
- Bladder and other infections
- Other acute conditions
- Sports physicals
- Vaccinations
After your initial treatment during your extended hours visit, you will
be referred to your primary care physician for follow up care. Routine
problems should be managed by your primary care provider during regular
business hours. If you don't have a primary care provider, the RGH
Clinic has providers available to meet all of your healthcare needs. Click
here to learn more about the
RGH Clinic Providers or call 575.356.6652 for assistance in identifying a provider. Patients
are seen according to the level of urgency, as determined during triage.
Patients without an appointment are typically seen on a "first come,
first served" basis. Extended hours are open to both established
RGH Clinic patients and the general public.
If you experience a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital
emergency room and ask the staff to contact your primary care provider.
